Metro Code 2.19.250 establishes an Audit Committee to serve as a liaison between the Metro Council, the independent external auditor, the Metro Auditor and management as their duties relate to financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls and compliance. The committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Metro Council.
Members
The committee is comprised of a Metro Councilor, a Metro Exposition and Recreation Commissioner, four citizen members, the Metro Auditor (non-voting) and Metro's finance director (non-voting).
